Overview

Discover the Russian Arctic over four days and three nights from Murmansk. The program combines two attempts to see the northern lights, a panoramic Murmansk tour, a full day in Teriberka, and a visit to a Sámi-themed cultural and animal park. The group has 4-18 travelers, welcomes children from age 6, and has a difficulty rating of 1 out of 5.

The Teriberka day includes either a two-hour coastal boat trip or a visit to the protected natural park, depending on the selected option and conditions. Whale and other wildlife sightings are possible but never guaranteed. Ice floating is also conditional on advance selection. Confirm the exact package, weather-dependent substitutions, and final price before booking.

Clubok takes care of domestic connections, transfers, accommodation and halal meals throughout the agreed trip. Share your arrival city in Russia and dietary requirements; we put the complete arrangements and price in writing before payment.

Your day-by-day journey

1Day 1 - First northern-lights hunt

Check into the hotel after 14:00. The evening departure is scheduled between 19:00 and 22:00 according to the aurora forecast. The trip normally lasts 3-5 hours, with hotel pickup and a drop-off at your accommodation in Murmansk.

The photography guides use high-sensitivity cameras and provide digital photographs when conditions allow. The hunt may finish between midnight and 03:00, run longer in difficult conditions, or move to another night of the tour if the forecast is poor.

2Day 2 - Panoramic Murmansk and a second aurora hunt

Depart the hotel around 09:30 for a 5-6 hour city program. Visit Murmansk Sea Port and the nuclear icebreaker Lenin, with an onboard excursion planned, subject to access. Continue to the Lighthouse memorial for sailors lost in peacetime and the fragment of the Kursk submarine, the Alyosha memorial to the defenders of the Soviet Arctic, and the Waiting Woman monument. A set lunch at a Murmansk restaurant follows.

If ice floating was selected in advance, continue across the Kola Bridge to a yacht club. After a safety briefing, change into a waterproof immersion suit and float in the ice-free Kola Bay before warming up with tea. Guests not taking part can wait in the tea house. Without ice-floating participants, the daytime excursion may finish around 15:30; with the activity, return is around 16:30-17:00.

The second northern-lights hunt departs between 19:00 and 22:00 and normally lasts 3-6 hours. The same forecast and rescheduling conditions apply.

3Day 3 - Teriberka, the edge of the land

Leave Murmansk around 08:00 for a 9-11 hour excursion. Stop in the open tundra and view the Kola Wind Farm, whose 57 turbines form a striking Arctic landscape. In Teriberka, visit the old ship cemetery.

From 12:00 to 14:00, take the selected route: a coastal boat trip with a chance to see whales and other marine life, or a visit to Dragon Eggs Beach and Battery Waterfall. Depending on snow cover, the land route may be on foot or by sled behind a snowmobile. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.

After a set lunch, stop at the sandy beach in Old Teriberka to see the giant swings, a fishing vessel washed ashore, and the whale skeleton associated with the film Leviathan. Return to Murmansk around 18:30-19:30.

If the sea trip is cancelled because of a storm, it is replaced with a visit to the protected Teriberka nature park. The short winter daylight prevents doing both. If the road to Teriberka closes, the organizer replaces the day with an excursion to Khibiny.

4Day 4 - Sámi motifs

Depart the hotel around 09:00 or 12:00 for a 3-4 hour visit to the Sámi Motifs park. After a safety briefing, meet and feed the park's reindeer and Siberian huskies. In a traditional tent, hear stories about northern peoples, take part in a wish ritual, and try northern tea and a tasting adapted to the agreed halal menu.

Try Sámi games such as football, stick pulling, or axe throwing. The program also includes a 500 m reindeer-sled ride and a 500 m snow-banana ride; quad bikes replace them if there is not enough snow. Free time is provided for photographs and optional food at the park café. Return to Murmansk around 13:30-14:30 or 16:30, depending on the departure slot. Clubok arranges a halal lunch around the park visit and your departure schedule.
